We believe greatness is built on mastering the details. Our training goes beyond drills—helping you see the ice, move with purpose, and connect every skill to real game situations. Build confidence, creativity, and hockey sense through a modern, detail-driven approach.
Our Approach
I’m Andrew DeBrincat, and hockey has been my lifelong passion. My journey was anything but traditional—I didn’t play AAA, USHL, or OHL growing up, but my love for the game and relentless drive led me to NCAA Division 1 hockey at American International College and three years in the ECHL before retiring.
As an undersized defenseman (140–150 lbs), I learned to maximize my strengths and adapt my style to each situation. Instead of relying on size, I focused on positioning, anticipation, and creative problem-solving—finding unique ways to be effective and achieve my goals on the ice.
My coaching journey started during my final season as a player and quickly turned into a true calling. Since retiring, I’ve worked with players across Michigan through private and group training, while also serving as the Skills Coach for the Muskegon Lumberjacks — who just capped off a championship season as 2024–25 Clark Cup Champions in the USHL.
Coaching Philosophy
My approach to development is rooted in understanding each player’s unique path. I believe in exploring core movements and helping players streamline their skills, making them more adaptable and creative. By identifying the relationships between individual and combined skills, players can “stack” abilities and express themselves on the ice.
For lasting improvement, I focus on three key areas:
Seeing the Ice: Developing awareness and vision is the foundation for effective play.
Balance & Feel: Recognizing the difference between being in-balance and off-balance unlocks new levels of confidence and control.
Game Transfer: Practice must translate to real-game situations. I use dynamic, game-like drills that introduce pressure, decision points, and cues—embracing the chaos of hockey to prepare players for the subtleties of decision-making under pressure.
Ultimately, my goal is to help every player build calm confidence, adaptability, and a deep love for the game.

I love working with Andrew because of the way he thinks the game. He's played the game at a high level so he really can relate and teach me things he sees on the ice. He has been a great help to me in my skating ability, and puck handling skills.
